The hospital was broken up on the 27th of December, and the detachment of sick, convalescent, and married men, under Captain William Cain, left Meerut for Ghurmuckliour, on the 28th. It consisted of five sergeants, eight corporals, one drummer, eighty-four privates, sixty-four women, and one hundred-and-twenty 1835. children. They embarked on the 31st December, and leaving the Ghauts on the 2nd of January, after a pas- 1836. sage rendered tedious by the shallowness of the river and by contrary winds, arrived at Ghazeepore on the 8th of February.

Zij is over enkele kinderen gezet '96 haar man moet zware arbeid verrichten.

Dad had digestive problems, for which he took baking soda, and when he first started working at Steel Car, the doctor told him he only had a year to live because his heart was in bad shape. He lived 20 or 30 years after that in spite of always being a lot overweight."

Irma stated that he wasn't overweight

86 (Research):A Johannis Thedorus christening record has Pieter Loopeker as the father and Jannetje Enklaar as the mother. The age from his marriage and as a witness in his son's marriage correspond, but his parent's names are not mentioned in his marriage banns (both are listed as dead) So Pieter & Jannetje's Pieter Loopeker could be a different person.

Facts that indicate he is the son of Piter Loopeker:
- his first born son is named Pieter
- Cornelia Loopeker is a witness at his son's christenning, if he is Pieter's son then Cornelia would be his sister

92 (Research):Catharina Pan's marriage to Christiaan Sprong on Dec 07, 1836 shows her mother as Maria Martha Pan and no known father.

In the marriage Banns it shows her birth date as 13 June, 1816

Her birth record indicates that her mother was living at Oudekennissteeg 3, Amsterdam

There is a marriage record for Maria Martha Pan to Benjamin Noobel on 22 Oct, 1823. In the marriage Banns it indicates that Maria Martha Pan lives at Oudekennissteeg 3, Amsterdam. This would indicate that this is the same Maria Martha Pan as Catharina's mother.

Maria Martha Pan's parents in the marriage record are given as Elbert Pan and Maria Barendse.

Pan, Maria Martha (I2951)

93 (Research):Christina Brakenhoff (daughter of Anthonij Brakenhoff) was christened at Kerk Stadhuis Van Hoorn.

On Anthonij Brakenhoff's mariage banns it lists his father as Anthonij Brakenhoff and his age as 24 (born in 1732 in Amsterdam).

An Amsterdam baptism record for Antonius Brakenhof on Aug 17, 1732 is the right year, has Antonius Brakenhof as his father and occurs in the same small home church as his future daughter.

This baptism record has a high probability of the right one. It lists his mother as Catharina Rademaecker

In 1730 both of her parents are dead (at the time of her marriage to Anthonij Brakenhoff)

96 (Research):He is living in same house as Edward Hopkins and his wife Mary Cuff, I've made the assumption he is her grand father. He is a widower aged 72, born in Ireland

This needs further confirmation.
Cuff, James (I5160)

97 (Research):Her marriage banns on 13 May, 1785 with Isaac Grevink indicate she is 23 years old, born in Zwolle and her father is Geerling Brinkhuis. This would put her birth at about 1762.

Her death record on Aug 13, 1828 indicates that she is 80 years old, this would put her birth at about 1748, also in Zwolle.

There is a christening record for Aleida Brinkhuis with father Geerlig on Jan 7, 1748 in Zwolle. It would make her 37 at her marriage and 44 at the birth of her youngest child.
Brinkhuis, Alida (I8949)

98 (Research):Her parents were dead when she registered for marriage on June 6, 1777 van der Horst, Willemijntje (I6976)

99 (Research):I don't have any direct evidence linking my 4«sup»th«/sup». Great-grandfather Johannes van Beek with who I think are his parents - Sibartus van Beek and Johanna Berkhof.

These are the indirect pieces of evidence I have that Sibartus van Beek and Johanna Berkhof are Johannes van Beek's parents:
1.«tab»In Johannes' marriage banns of Oct 12, 1781 he is listed as Jan van Beek, gereformeert born in Amsterdam age 24 years, parents are dead, witness Isaac Grevink marrying Josina Williams.
a.«tab»The christening of their son Sibertus van Beek on Jan 2, 1783 lists his parents as Johannes van Beek and Josiena Willemse as do their other children and the children's marriage records. So Jan is Johannes. According to the banns Johannes was born about 1757 (age 24 in 1781).
b.«tab»I could find only one Christening record for a Johannes van Beek, that was a Johannis van Beek, christened on Aug 25, 1758, parents Sibartus van Beek and Johanna Berkhof.
c.«tab»Sibartus van Beek died July 1761 and Johanna Berkhof died January 1764.This matches the banns mentioning both parents are dead when Johannes van Beek married Josina Willemse.
2.«tab»Johannes van Beek and Josiena Willemse's first son is named Siebartus. Traditionally the first son is named after the paternal grandfather, this matches his assumed parents Sibartus van Beek and Johanna Berkhof.
3.«tab»Siebartus' christening on January 2, 1783 has witnesses Harremanus van Beek and Cattriena van Beek. These could be Johannes's brother and sister since Sibartus van Beek and Johanna Berkhof had children named Harmanus and Catrina.
4.«tab»Johannes van Beek and Josiena Willemse's second son's name was Johannes Harmanus, christened on April 6, 1787 with witnesses Harmanus van Beek and Catrina Pronk.
a.«tab»The age on Harmanus van Beek and Catrina Pronk's marriage banns and his death record match his christening on January 2, 1754, born to Sibartus van Beek and Johanna Berkhof.
b.«tab»Both Harmanus van Beek and Johannes van Beek marriage banns show parents dead and they both have the same sponser, Isaac Grevink.
c.«tab»Johannes van Beek and Harmanus van Beek are most likely brothers.
van Beek, Sibartus (I8858)

100 (Research):In 1730 both parents are dead Brakenhoff, Anthonij (I4398)
